Product Introduction:

Caproic Acid is a six-carbon saturated fatty acid that occurs naturally in oils and animal fats. It is a basic organic raw material widely used in perfumes, food additives, lubricating greases, cigarette flavours, rubber and dye manufacture etc. Caproic Acid has a cheese, sweat-like odour and is slightly soluble in water but soluble in ethanol and ether. It is a toxic and corrosive substance and therefore requires special attention to safety when handling. Caproic Acid is also used industrially as an intermediate in organic synthesis to produce a wide range of chemicals. Due to its high energy density and hydrophobicity in water, Caproic Acid has advantages in separation processes.
